Case study · Anonymised client

A tailor-made order and delivery control tower for a wholesale distributor.

A distributor running several warehouses spent hours a day chasing order status by phone and email. We built a control tower that brings orders, stock and deliveries onto a single screen.

Problem

Nobody knew where each order was

The ERP held the data, but spread across screens nobody used. Customer service answered by calling the warehouse, delays surfaced only when the customer complained, and real stock was known only after a count. Every enquiry cost minutes and every mistake cost goodwill.

Solution

One screen with the operational truth

We connected the ERP and the carrier delivery notes into a single panel: every order with its status, warehouse, committed date and risk traffic light. We added automatic alerts when a delivery drifts from its planned date, and a portal where each customer checks and repeats orders without calling.

What it includes

What we delivered, live from day one

  • Real-time status for every order
  • Risk traffic lights and delay alerts
  • Stock and stockouts per warehouse
  • Reorder points and replenishment suggestions
  • Self-service B2B portal per customer
  • Delivery history and service level
  • Role-based access (service, warehouse, management)
  • Automatic weekly report by email

Result

Fewer calls, more reliable deliveries

Customer service resolves enquiries without calling the warehouse. Delays are spotted before the customer notices. And management opens one screen in the morning instead of requesting three separate reports.
